What is the difference between silk and satin? Why did we choose Silk vs. Satin for our pillowcases?
Silk is a completely natural fiber. Satin is a weave comprised of multiple fibers that can be a combination of many different style or manners in how something is woven together. It is why many products labeled as "satin" are technically "satin" but do not have a silky smooth finish that our other satin products do such as, Glow by Daye Satin Bonnets or LuxStretch™️ Satin Scarves.
We chose silk and its completely natural properties because not only will your hair benefit, but also because your skin will have contact for hours and hours, we wanted to make sure it was the absolute best option. The many benefits listed above gives you some of the reasons why chose silk vs satin for our DayeDream ™️ Silk Pillowcases including it's durability as it comes with more strength.
What does "momme" mean?
Momme describes the silk's weight and density. Higher momme means there is more strands of silk per 100 yards of fabric, therefore making it more heavy.
What is Grade 6A?
It is a grading system for silk. Silk quality is graded A, B, C with grade A being the best. The number takes the grading a step further. You can have 3A, 4A, 5A, or 6A, with 6A being the highest quality.
What is Mulberry?
Mulberrry is 100% Natural , odorless, and hypoallergenic
